We have several series for upper primary and the best choice depends on the level students can achieve by grade 8 (which also depends on the number of lessons). Please note that the NAT2020 states that students need to reach at least A2.

A2

We recommend Enter the Portal. This series was created based on the requirements of the NAT2020, meaning that all compulsory requirements (including the key competencies) are dealt with and can be completed in 3 lessons per week. For more information, click here.

A2 +

For the more able students, we recommend Get to the Top Revised edition. The series can be completed in 3 or 4 lessons a week, and takes students to A2 +. For more information, click here.

B1

For bilingual schools and intensive courses, we recommend Full Blast Plus. With the first four levels, students reach a strong B1 by grade 8. Because of the amount of material, students need 4-5 lessons per week. For more information, click here.

Language exam

For students who wish to take a language exam in grade 8, we recommend to finish on Full Blast Plus B1 +. This can be achieved by using 5 levels of Full Blast Plus in four years or starting with Full Blast Plus 2 in grade 5 (requires strong lower-primary level)
